Volunteering at Jerusalem Mill Village

Please click the links on the right to learn how to Volunteer at Jerusalem Mill Village.

The Friends of Jerusalem Mill (FOJM), a 501(c)(3) organization, is a group of volunteers dedicated to restoring, preserving, and interpreting the 18th and 19th century Jerusalem Mill Village. FOJM always welcomes new members and volunteers.

The invaluable help that individuals, civic groups, scout troops, and other community organizations give to Jerusalem Mill Village is greatly appreciated.

Village volunteers enjoy unique, memorable experiences, and can choose from among a variety of positions. Docents can interpret the mysteries of the milling industry and offer visitors tours of the Museum and Visitor Center. Museum Assistants help with the myriad of intriguing activities associated with archives, artifacts, and recordkeeping. Living History Interpreters for 18th and 19th centuries demonstrate period-appropriate dress, crafts, trades, and domestic activities.

More contemporary positions include Gift Shop Sales Associate, Groundskeeper, General Maintenance Engineer, and Administrative Assistant.
