Residence #1 at Jerusalem Mill Village
This building stands between the Lee Mansion and the Mill. Originally built around 1850, this L-shaped house appears on the 1860 plat. Early photos of about 1910 show a single full story with an attic with dormers.
Private Residence #1 Sometime after that, the owners added the full second floor and Victorian details, such as the wide-eave roof, central attic dormer peak, and arched attic window. Now owned by the State of Maryland, the house is leased on a long term basis to the present occupants in exchange for their commitment to restore the property.
This building is not open to the public. |
